How to Clean Clear Aligners

Clear aligners are one of the most discreet and comfortable ways to straighten your teeth.
In fact, most people won’t even notice you’re wearing them — and that’s the point.

But that advantage can disappear quickly if your aligners are not properly cleaned.
A simple hygiene routine keeps them clear, fresh, and invisible throughout your treatment.

Why Cleaning is Important

When aligners are not cleaned correctly, bacteria build up easily. This can lead to:

  • Tooth decay

  • Gum irritation

  • Bad breath

  • Stains and discoloration of your aligners

Clean aligners = healthy smile + better treatment results.

Daily Cleaning Routine

To keep your aligners in top condition, clean them every morning and every night.

Morning Cleaning

Overnight, bacteria accumulate on both your teeth and aligners.

  • Remove your aligners as soon as you wake up

  • Floss and Brush your teeth thoroughly

  • Gently brush your aligners with a soft toothbrush

Evening Cleaning

Before going to bed:

  • Floss and Brush your teeth again

  • Clean your aligners once more

  • Place them back in your mouth for the night

  • Keeps your treatment comfortable and effective

Consistency is what protects your smile.
